SimpsInns has announced its plans to open a new sea view spa, a first floor resident gym and 17 extra guest rooms at The Waterside Hotel in West Kilbride in 2024.

Located just 40 minutes from Glasgow, the Ayrshire-based hospitality group will be undergoing a major refurbishment at The Waterside Hotel, beginning in spring of next year.

The new spa will feature an indoor sauna and steam room, spa lounge, and an outdoor hydro pool.

The expansion at The Waterside comes as the venue has established itself as “one of the region’s leading hotels” since it first opened in 2013, as it offers panoramic views over the Firth of Clyde towards the Isle of Arran.

SimpsInns operates The Waterside Hotel, as well as its flagship venues, The Gailes Hotel and Spa, in Irvine.
