In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Rational has launched a new combi-steamer. The company says its SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses is the first intelligent commercial cooking appliance that actually interacts with chefs, “getting to know the way they work so that, together, the chef and their combi can always deliver the best possible cooking results”.

At the heart of the new combi is its interactive cooking control (iCookingControl) technology. It ensures food is prepared exactly the way the chef wants, by monitoring, controlling and adjusting temperature, time, air speed and the cooking climate – that is, the balance of dry heat and steam. The iCookingControl features a monitor that enables the chef to see exactly what is happening, at any time. It also tells the chefs why any adjustments to the cooking process have been implemented. Rational’s LevelControl makes it easy for chefs to cook different foods simultaneously, saving time, energy and costs. The new 5 Senses version, iLevelControl, not only shows staff which foods are compatible with each other, but also ensures each is prepared using the chef’s preferred specifications and cooking methods.
