UK and Irish hotel brand Jurys Inn has appointed Julieann Brennan as head of HR for the group.

Brennan will be responsible for leading the overall people strategy for Jurys Inn group, covering areas such as recruitment and selection, learning and development, employee engagement, employer relations and compensation and benefits.

She has over 20 years of senior management experience in the hospitality industry, having held various roles throughout Jurys Inn. Most recently, she was the senior regional operations manager where she was responsible for 12 hotels across the Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland.

Her appointment follows the recent announcement of Jurys Inn assuming responsibility for the management of Leonardo Hotels across the UK, making her responsible for developing HR initiatives for a total of 3,000 employees across the group.

Jason Carruthers, managing director of Jurys Inn, said: “Julieann will be an asset to the senior management team and brings extensive knowledge of the business from her varied roles over the past 20 years. Over 80% of our general managers are recruited from within, and given our ambitious expansion plans for the group, maintaining and attracting this talent will be essential.”

Brennan said: “I’m delighted and very much welcome this new role within Jurys Inn. I’m a firm believer that our people are at the core of our business and operations, and look forward to working closely with Jason and the wider management team to ensure that our people strategy supports our organisational strategy and our very valuable talent throughout all areas of our business.”
