Aparthotel provider Adagio has seen its occupancy rate jump to 79%, the highest rate it has ever seen, as part of a record 2023 for the company.

This comes as Adagio welcomed 1.7 million customers welcomed into the 130 aparthotels in its network, alongside a raft of new openings.

Over the last 12 months the company opened new sites in France and Belgium as well as upgrading some of its existing ones.

The company is also expected to open seven new sites in 2024 including one in Whitechapel, London.

This site will have five coliving units, each made up of 4 rooms around a common area including a kitchen and a shared lounge.

The expansion drive is part of the company’s overarching goal to reach 200 aparthotels by 2028.

Xavier Desaulles, CEO of Adagio, said: “All these results underline the relevance of a renewed hotel offer, a hybrid offer “100% apartment, 100% hotel” which corresponds to the needs of a balanced clientele between individuals – for example, to travel as a family at the best cost – and business travellers, who may particularly desire the idea of feeling “at home” away from home.”
