Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel and Spa, a large independent freehold hotel with investment and asset management opportunities, has hit the market with an asking price of offers in excess of £7.5m.Located in the heart of Bournemouth, the hotel is situated a short distance from the beach and near to the city’s university and airport.

The hotel features 83 ensuite bedrooms, a premium dining restaurant, a lounge bar, extensive conference facilities including five function suites, and a leisure centre with two pools, sauna/steam rooms and aromatherapy cave. The property also includes a car park with 80 spaces.

The hotel offers potential for further development, including the creation of 14 additional bedrooms/suites by conversion of the function spaces, as well as expansion of the health club and leisure offering.

Subject to planning consent, the hotel could also be considered for alternative use such as development into a healthcare living destination.

Ed Bellfield, regional director at Christie and Co, who is handling the sale, said: “We are delighted to have been exclusively instructed to sell such a high-profile business within Bournemouth.

“The marketing process will no doubt attract a significant level of interest from both domestic and international hotel investors and operators. The opportunity to acquire a freehold trading hotel in the centre of Bournemouth with consistent trading over recent years will no doubt add to the appeal for investors and operators.”
