The Arora Group has appointed Philip Jones as its new group finance director to oversee finance operations for its hotel, construction and commercial divisions.

Jones joins from Harbour Hotels Group, where he held the position of group finance director. Within this role, he was part of a team responsible for growing business through the existing portfolio and acquisitions.

In his new role with Arora Group, Jones will be responsible for both corporate and commercial finance operations across all business divisions of the Arora Group, and will lead the group’s finance team of approximately 70 employees, alongside chief financial officer, Carlton Brown.

Jones began his career working at Ernst and Young in Dublin and London and has also held financial director positions at GLH Hotels.

Brown said: “We are pleased to welcome Philip to the Arora family as our new group finance director. I am confident that with his wealth of experience within both the corporate and commercial markets, he will be an asset to the senior executive team, providing solid leadership, adding value to the business and improving financial performance within the group’s three main divisions.”

Jones added: “I am delighted to be joining the Arora Group as group finance director. Arora Group is a highly successful and growing company with a diverse existing business portfolio and impressive developments in the pipeline, and I am very much looking forward to working with the team to continue to ensure the company’s success and future growth.”
