Hilton has entered a franchise agreement with Jurys Inn Islington to open its tenth Doubletree property in the capital.

Located next to angel tube station, the 229 bedroom hotel has undergone a multi-million pound investment.

An extension of the hotel, set to open on October 1, will increase the amount of bedrooms in the hotel to 372.The 143 added bedrooms will include 66 deluxe rooms and 43 executive rooms.

The investment has also included the addition of a gin bar, Bar60, The Grill Restaurant, a new 24-hour business centre and a 24-hour on-site fitness centre.

John Brennan, CEO of Jurys Inn, said: “The Double Tree by Hilton franchise provides Jurys Inn access to a broad international customer base.

“Our hotels’ prime locations as well as Hilton Worldwide’s renowned brand will put us in a strong position to grow revenue as well as continue to deliver stand-out customer service.”

Earlier this year, Hilton opened its ninth Doubletree property in London in Chelsea signing another franchise agreement with Jurys Inn.

Jurys Inn Heathrow property is expected to become the Hilton Garden Inn in December.
