Interstate Hotels and Resorts has appointed Hazel Hogben as senior vice president of human resources.

According to the brand, Hogben is a “highly experienced” HR professional who began her career in retail operations. She then spent 12 years with IHG as head of HR for global functions before moving to head of HR operations for the UK and Ireland.

Her last position with IHG was as head of HR operations across Europe, Russia and CIS as well as the Middle East.

Hogben said: “I am delighted to be joining the Interstate team. To be able to participate in the ambitious growth of the organisation globally, working with some incredibly passionate and energetic people who share the same vision and determination to succeed is a fantastic opportunity for me.

“I’m really excited to develop the commerciality aspect within the HR function to ensure that it is fit for the future in this ever-evolving industry as well enhancing the development opportunities available for colleagues at all levels.”

He added: “I come from a background where having European knowledge of legislation, culture and people is essential and I think this experience will help enhance the HR capabilities here at Interstate even further.

“The ambition of Interstate, its goals and road map to deliver through its people is something that makes the company really stand out in the hospitality industry and I am looking forward to being part of the journey.”
