The new £15m Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport hotel has delayed its opening after cladding for the hotel’s exterior could not be delivered on time.

The hotel, which was set to open towards the end of last year, has pushed its opening back until the end of February.

Once ready the the 130-bedroom modular build will be situated within Inverness Airport Business Park, located just two-minutes from Inverness Airport. It will also boast meetings and fitness facilities, a bar and bistro.

General manager Ina Davies, told the Inverness Courier: “Delays to the delivery of the cladding required to complete the exterior of the hotel have unfortunately led to a delay in our official opening – which is now set for late February.

“While we are disappointed that we were unable to open before the new year, our priority is ensuring that Inverness’s first Courtyard by Marriott is in perfect shape to welcome its first guests.”
