The Goring to reopen on 4 September

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Family-run luxury hotel, The Goring, has announced it will reopen on 4 September, with its Michelin-starred dining room to open a few weeks later.

The London-based hotel will reopen all of its rooms, suites and its famed cocktail bar on 4 September alongside the secluded garden.

Dining in the garden or the veranda will be available from 4 September, with bookings for the hotel’s dining room restaurant being taken a few weeks later, with an app available guests to navigate the hotel’s services.

The Goring was opened in 1910 by Otto Goring and is now the only five-star luxury hotel in London that is owned and run by the family that built it.

The hotel said: “At 10am on Friday 4 September, the trumpets will sound and the doors will be majestically opened by two red liveried footmen.

“There may be masks covering smiles and a few more white cotton gloves than before but nothing will stop our guests seeing the twinkle in the eyes of the wonderful staff at The Goring. From 4 Friday we will be ready when you are.”
