Hastings Hotels has announced the appointment of Lisa Steele as general manager of the Culloden Estate and Spa.

The Belfast site features 100 bedrooms, and recently reopened following the ease of lockdown restrictions in Northern Ireland last month.

Steele was previously the opening general manager at AC Hotel Belfast, and prior to this, was the general manager of the Malmaison Belfast and Hotel du Vin Edinburgh.

She will now replace Garrett Power in the new role, while Power moves to the InterContinental Hotel Dublin as hotel manager.

Steele said: “I am delighted to have joined the Hastings Hotels team as general manager of the Culloden Estate and Spa.

“As the largest independent hotel group in Northern Ireland, the brand is renowned for offering the very best in hospitality and dedication to guests and I look forward to continuing to provide this experience at their luxury, flagship property.”

She added: “Although it has been an unusual time to start a new role, with the whole country on lockdown, I have used this time to really get to know the Culloden and its beautiful grounds.

“I am now fully enjoying welcoming back guests for a relaxing, rejuvenating and very well-deserved break.”

Hastings Hotels operates a collection of seven properties across Northern Ireland, including Belfast’s Europe hotel, the Stormont hotel, and the Grand Central hotel.
