Following a 12-month multi-million pound redevelopment by local businessman Tim Hopkins and The Social Butterfly Hospitality Group, The Elms Hotel and Greenhouse Spa at Abberley has reopened.
The 24 bedroom hotel in rural Worcestershire now features a new selection of rooms including Cosy rooms, Splendid rooms, Epicurean Suites and Legendary Suites.
The Greenhouse Spa has also been redesigned to include a brand new Life Fitness gym with spinning, yoga and pilates studios.
Operations manager Michael Pearson said: “It’s been a long time in the making, but the end product is second to none. We’ve been waiting for this day for 12 months and seeing the doors finally re-open fulfils a long- standing dream.
“We are so pleased to see everything we’ve been working on for so long come to life. It will be a great asset both for people living in the Worcestershire area and for visitors alike.”
The re-opening of the Elms Hotel will create 40 new jobs, while the group is also looking to recruit a further 50 people across its expanding portfolio of sites including The Crown Inn at Hallow, Ombersley Court and Checketts Great British Foods.
The Social Butterfly Hospitality Group managing director William Donaldson said: “The Elms Hotel and Greenhouse Spa is a massive boost for hospitality and tourism in the Worcestershire area and for the local community surrounding the hotel itself.
“We’ve created a real positive in the hospitality industry, generating jobs and actively recruiting. It’s especially rewarding seeing The Elms Hotel open for business in what truly is one of the most breathtaking and unique settings.”
