Staybridge Suites London Vauxhall, which was recently opened by IHG last week, has employed a ‘ miniature labradoodle’ to greet guests staying at the hotel.

Three-month-old Waggers, who is a cross between a labrador and a poodle, will work alongside his owner and hotel manager, Giovanni Valentini, and the rest of the hotel team to ensure guests receive what the hotel is calling a “first class ‘more home than hotel’ experience”.

Staybridge Suites, a 93-suite new-build property, has said that Waggers has received “one-to-one training” to ensure he fully adapts to his role and way of life as part of the hotel’s ‘welcome home’ reception team.

Valentini said: “Labradoodles are renowned for being sociable, obedient dogs that enjoy company and have a loving temperament. Waggers has integrated well and is quickly adapting to hotel life. He is most definitely a wonderful furry asset to the team.”

Guests are encouraged to pat and cuddle Waggers, but have been asked to refrain from feeding him without consulting the management first.
