In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Any hotelier worth their salt these days knows the importance of having up-to-date in-room entertainment throughout the hotel.

On Saturday 19, I experienced first-hand Sky Business’s offering in this space, watching the Australian Grand Prix in the Courthouse Hotel in London.

The home-from-home feel of relaxing in a hotel room with access to all the normal channels we have become accustomed to having access to in our homes, coupled with the high-end surroundings of the Courthouse, made clear that this really will be expected as standard by guests in the future, if it is not already.

Equally important is the access the fast Wifi – gone are the days when guests were happy to tolerate slow or intermittent connections. We live in a constantly connected world and, especially to the younger generation as they enter the world of business, the idea of not being able to check emails and social media simply because you are staying in a hotel will be laughable.

My thanks to the Courthouse Hotel and Sky Business for taking the time to demonstrate the 3-in-1 setup – a predictably smooth-running experience.
