Red Carnation Hotels launches London apprenticeship programme

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Red Carnation Hotels has announced the launch of a new apprenticeship programme across its six London hotels.

The launch of the new programme – in partnership with hospitality training firm Umbrella Training – has so far seen the successful enrolment of 17 additional apprentices across the business, ahead of the 2017 Apprenticeship Levy.

The hotel group, which runs 17 four and five-star properties in the UK, Geneva, Florida and South Africa, said it will continue to develop and roll out the scheme when the levy comes into effect in April 2017.

Claire Golden, director of human resources, said: “We’re excited to be launching this apprenticeship programme, in collaboration with Umbrella Training, across our London portfolio.

“It will help us to attract and develop young talented individuals that are looking to get a foot on the ladder in this industry, complementing our renowned existing training and further enriching progression opportunities for our employees.”
