The Bingham has become one of only 11 hotels across the whole of the UK to receive an ‘Award of Excellence 2013’ from the Tea Guild.
The Bingham was praised for its high level of commitment to tea service, its growing interest in offering new speciality teas and for producing menus which include full and accurate descriptions of the teas available.
The Tea Guild ‘Award of Excellence’ was established to recognise outstanding quality in tea service and to those who have perfected the art of afternoon tea.
The Bingham offers guests a variety of different tea blends including Rose Buds, Blackcurrant and Hibiscus Fruit Infusion, and Jasmine Pearls. Tea can be taken by itself, or as a part of afternoon tea.
It is served in the handsome Lounge Bar with expansive mirrors trimmed with mother-of-pearl frames, and a grand chandelier cascading from the silver leaf sculpted ceiling, reflecting the light streaming in from the floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a bright and airy space.
Guests are also treated to breathtaking views over the landscaped gardens that roll down to the water’s edge.
