This Christmas, Rosewood London has partnered with Samsung to transform its High Holborn façade and archway into a Christmas sensory experience.
As part of Rosewood Mini Wishes, on 1 December a festive narrative will unfold on the front of the Grade II-listed Edwardian heritage building through digital mapping to create an illumination show.
The activation will be showcased daily at intervals between 5.30pm to 9pm until 31 December 2017.
The concept behind the digital display takes inspiration from Rosewood Mini Wishes campaign where the story unfolds of a young girl at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and the journey of her Christmas wish.
The final effect is a 3D digital display that highlights how the public’s wishes can raise vital funds to help make a difference to seriously ill children from across the UK who are treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Just off High Holborn, Rosewood London’s archway will be transformed into a ‘Galaxy of Wishes’.
Visitors will be able to interact with the LED Archway using a Samsung Galaxy S8, through which they can experiment with the lighting and other elements by entering their email address to make a ‘wish’. On behalf of the users, Samsung will donate £1 for every wish made to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Now in its third year, Rosewood Mini Wishes offers a programme of activities to celebrate the festive season in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Father Christmas will also tour across London daily from 1 – 12 December in his red Mini convertible visiting local children’s schools while encouraging the public to make Christmas wishes for £1, with all proceeds going directly to GOSH.
The hotel will also be donating £1 from every hotel room bill and all bills with festive elements directly to GOSH for the entire month of December.
On 13 December, there will be a Gala Dinner where guests will take part in a silent and live auction to raise funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
