Holiday Inn near Stonehenge acquired for £12.5m

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Bowling Green Asset Management (BGAM) has acquired a 103-bedroom Holiday Inn close to Salisbury and Stonehenge for £12.5m.

Situated six miles from Stonehenge UNESCO world heritage site, the sale was handled by Colliers International on behalf of the offshore-based Fiesta Enterprise Limited. BGAM said it will retain the current senior management team and all existing employees.

The interest in this location follows an increasing demand for UK provincial hotels, particularly for global branded stock.

Jamie Levy and Nicholas Rubin, BGAM directors, said: “This hotel has been a target of ours for some time, so we are pleased to complete the purchase. The hotel has been run on a sound footing previously and we have no intention of upsetting the applecart.

“Many of the staff have been with the hotel for a number of years and we hope they remain with us for the foreseeable future. We will be looking to expand the hotel offerings, along with continuing the hunt for potential acquisitions.”
