Harbour Hotel & Spa in Southampton has been awarded AA 5-star rating, after only four months of being in operation.

According to the hotel group the £25m hotel development marked an “iconic milestone” for both the city and Harbour Hotels and introduced a “landmark hotel” to the Ocean Village, a mixed-use marina for business and leisure.

The 85-bedroom property includes a restaurant and spa brands, a rooftop bar and a luxury yacht inspired design.

Mike Warren, managing director of Harbour Hotels, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved this recognition from the AA in such a short period of time post opening.

“It is testament to the efforts of the team led by Simon Maguire, the general manager, to deliver an exceptional product and service to all of our guests and visitors.”
