Disney World has revealed that the new Star Wars hotel in Florida will actually be a part of the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge theme park itself.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, the themed hotel will resemble a starship from the Star Wars universe and will “combine luxury with complete immersion into an authentic Star Wars story”.
At the 400-room resort, guests will immediately become “active citizens of the galaxy” and can dress up in the proper Star Wars attire. Every resort window will also have a view into space where a digital space battle will be taking place.
A two-night all-inclusive stay at the immersive hotel is rumoured to cost between £700 to £780 per person. The hotel and theme park are both scheduled to open in 2019.
In the post announcing the new features Disney said: “The opportunity for immersion at this resort will also stand out among all Disney resorts around the globe, as it will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing guests a total Star Wars experience.”
