The Lands of Loyal Hotel in Alyth, Perthshire, has been put up for sale for £1.15m.
The 17-bedroom country house-hotel, which overlooks the Vale of Strathmore, is set in four acres of its own private grounds and features a range of interconnecting rooms. The property dates from the early nineteenth Century and was built by the Ogilvy family.
The Howell family, who own the property, are looking to sell the hotel in order to facilitate the retirement of Mr and Mrs Howell (senior) from the hotel trade.
Alistair Letham, a director at Colliers International, said: “The [property] is one of the more quintessential Scottish country house hotels. It has an impressive trading performance and with the introduction of a bio-mass system, by the current owner, has significantly reduced energy costs therefore increasing profitability.”
