Novotel, one of Accor’s midscale brands, has appointed Cyril Bulvestre as general manager for the new Novotel Cambridge North hotel.

Cyril Bulvestre will be welcoming guests to the 217-bedroom hotel from its official opening date on 17 May.

Bulvestre joined Accor in 2008 and was appointed his first GM position at Adagio La Defense in Paris before progressing to the Novotel Chateau de Maffliers. In 2016, he moved to the UK where he fulfilled his role as GM at Novotel Liverpool Centre until this year. In more recent years Cyril has expanded his personal learning by way of enrolling on further education and preparing an MBA Scale-up programme at the Liverpool John Moores University.

Bulvestre said: “I’m excited to begin this new venture at Novotel Cambridge North and to open our doors for the first time on 17 May when indoor hospitality in England officially restarts. It is such a key time for the hospitality industry, so as travel returns, we are delighted to welcome guests to this stunning new hotel in Cambridge which is perfectly positioned for both work and leisure guests.

“The hotel is a fantastic example of the brilliant design and service Novotel offers its guests, and after months of lockdown a stay with us will be time well spent. Our guests’ safety and wellbeing is our key priority, so we will be operating elevated hygiene and prevention measures in line with Accor’s ALLSAFE label certification.”

On opening, Accor said Novotel Cambridge North will offer “world-class” conference facilities and comprehensive fitness amenities. The hotel will also feature a restaurant and bar with cocktails, full dinner service, a-la-carte or Grab N Go menus.

The property also has a large swimming pool, Jacuzzi and gym and will cater to all budgets and individual requirements, offering Superior Family Rooms, Accessibility Rooms, Junior Suites, and Executive Suites.
