Stratton House Hotel in Cirencester, Gloucester has opened a new £1m spa, which has created eight new jobs.
Built overlooking the 44-room hotel’s walled garden, the spa features four treatment rooms, a manicure and pedicure suite, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and relaxation areas.
Eight new jobs, including a spa manager, therapists and a reception team, have been created following the completion of the 325 square metre facility – with further jobs to be added in the months ahead.
Therapy specialist Lucy Brind has been appointed by the hotel’s owners to run the new spa.
She said: “After the difficult year we have all had, I think everyone is in need of some relaxation and a bit of self-care. I want our visitors to really enjoy the experience of the fabulous new spa here at Stratton House and I am really proud of what we have to offer.
“It’s something fresh and new for the area and I hope it will attract more people to visit not just the hotel, but Cirencester in general.”
Stratton House Hotel, which is also a wedding venue, was purchased in 2016 by husband and wife, Aidan and Sarah Stevens. Including the spa, they have now spent over £2m on a refurbishment programme.
