Serani Hotels acquires the Hilton Warwick/Stratford-upon-Avon hotel

The hotel owners have appointed Countrywide Hotels to manage the site

Serani Hotels has acquired the four-star Hilton Warwick/Stratford-upon-Avon hotel for an undisclosed sum.

The 181-bedroom property is spread across an area of seven acres and is located in a strategic location off the M40/Junction 15 intersection, two miles from central Warwick.

The hotel is “well established” as one of the area’s most popular choices for corporate meetings and accommodation, due to its “extensive conference and events facilities” and draws a “strong corporate business base”.

Other facilities include a large restaurant and lounge bar, as well as a 24/7 fitness centre.

Alex Campbell, director of Corporate Hotels in Christie and Co’s Hospitality team who brokered the sale, said: “As the business was available free and clear of the Hilton branding, the asset management and repositioning angles attracted a wide range of interest from domestic and international investors looking to acquire a strategic, freehold hotel.

“Despite the pandemic there remains a strong level of well-funded investors keen to acquire hotels, and we wish the new owner all the best as they look to capitalise on the post pandemic recovery.”

The hotel owners have appointed Countrywide Hotels to manage the site. Darren Patt, managing director of Countrywide, added: “We are delighted to be appointed following the strategic acquisition of M40J15 Warwick Hotel. There are immediate plans to refurbish, reposition and rebrand the hotel to a Delta by Marriott hotel and the site will immediately benefit from a multi-million pound investment programme.”
