The Londoner confirms September debut

The Londoner features several F&B concepts open to the public created by Amir Jati, creative director of F&B Service Excellence at Edwardian Hotels London

Edwardian Hotels London has revealed its new “super boutique” hotel – The Londoner – is set to open in September 2021.

The hotel, located in Leicester Square, will feature 350 rooms, 16 storeys, six concept eateries, a “unique” members club-style private area, meeting and event space, cinema and an entire floor dedicated to wellness

Designed in collaboration with architectural designers Yabu Pushelberg, Edwardian Hotels said The Londoner is designed to “capture the character of London itself, with winks and nods at every turn to British humour”.

The company added that whilst “super” in scale, The Londoner will feature a boutique approach and commitment to hospitality.

The Londoner will offer its guests “round the clock access” to its own private members club style space, The Residence. The 24-hour club, strictly for guests only, will feature a collection of “discrete spaces” for relaxing, working and indulging.

In addition, The Residence’s Y Bar and The Drawing Room offers an à la carte menu and a curated reserve wine list and signature house cocktails. Guests will also be able to experience The Whisky Room, where a “secret passage” reveals an intimate 14-cover parlour

As well as offerings exclusively for hotel guests, The Londoner features several F&B concepts open to the public created by Amir Jati, creative director of F&B Service Excellence at Edwardian Hotels London. With over ten years’ experience leading Nobu’s global private dining and events team, Jati oversees all of the creative direction and operations across The Londoner’s food and beverage outlets.

Located on the ground floor, The Londoner’s signature restaurant, Whitcomb’s, offers an Mediterranean morning-to-night destination where diners can experience a petit déjeuner, prix fixe lunch, a pre-theatre and an all-day dining menu.

The hotel will also include an all-day dining spot located close to the hotel’s lobby, a rooftop lounge and a 6,000 sq ft ballroom that will be able to cater up to over 800 guests.
