The Colonsay Hotel, an “established and profitable” island business located in the Isle of Colonsay has come to market for a starting price of £650k.
Alex and Jane Howard have owned and “successfully” run the hotel for seventeen years.
The site features nine letting rooms, a restaurant with sea views, and a “relaxing” lounge area with fireplaces. According to the hotel, the local economy benefits and relies on visitors.
Additionally, the Colonsay is located overlooking the sea, and near to a ferry terminal with regular ferries from Oban and Islay. There is also a weekly flight from Oban provided by Hebridean Airways.
The hotel also has access to further staff accommodation for purchase or lease by separate negotiations.
Peter Seymour, hotel and leisure director with Graham and Sibbald, who handled the sale, said: “We are delighted to be handling another exceptional and well-known establishment. The Hotel has fond memories for anyone who has visited the Island. This sale offers an excellent opportunity for an owner-operator to take on a very profitable business.”
