A prominent city centre Bradford hotel, The Midland, has been brought to market on Rightmove with a guide asking price of £3m.

The Midland Hotel is located in Cheapside next to Forster Square Railway Station. The property first opened in 1890 and was built by the Midland Railway Company.

According to the Rightmove listing, the hotel was a showpiece for the railway company’s Northern operations and is of particular architectural interest, “with some of the finest Victorian interiors in the city”.

The hotel comes with 90 ensuite bedrooms, while the building also features 11 function and banqueting suites including two ballrooms.

In addition to its architecture, the listing also states that the hotel is very well established and offers a new owner the opportunity “to build on its reputation”, as hotels of this size and profile “rarely come to the market”.

The Midland Hotel also has extensive public and function areas and offers a potential opportunity for alternative use that is subject to planning approvals.
