Judges Court Hotel brought to market for £3m
Judges Court features 15 contemporary en-suite bedrooms, all of which are named after each of the famous judges who resided in the building
The historic Judges Court hotel, a grade II listed 4-storey Georgian townhouse in York, has been brought to market with offers sought in excess of £3,000,000.
In the 18th Century, the site provided exclusive lodging for famous judges, such as William Chapple, known for convicting the infamous highwayman, Dick Turpin.
It is situated in the heart of York near The Shambles, Europe’s best-preserved mediaeval shopping street. The area is currently undergoing a major regeneration project to bolster tourism in the city, introducing new restaurants, a boutique, independent retail experience and a rejuvenation of historic lanes and the riverfront.
Judges Court features 15 contemporary en-suite bedrooms, all of which are named after each of the famous judges who resided in the building. Each room is “designed with a rich interior and their own unique design”.
