Accor has announced the appointment of Martine Gerow as the hotel group’s new chief finance officer, effective from 1 July, when she will also become a member of the management board.
Gerow, who will report directly to chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin, will be responsible for leading the group’s corporate financial function and managing relations with the market regulatory authorities and financial communities.
She replaces Jean-Jacques Morin, who will remain deputy CEO and premium, midscale and economy division CEO.
Gerow started her career as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in New York. She then joined PepsiCo after subsequently moving to Danone in 2002, where she served as division CFO and group controller based in Paris.
She joined the travel industry in 2014, first as CFO of Carlson WagonLit Travel, and since 2017, CFO of American Express Global Business Travel, where she was based in London.
Accor is a global hospitality group present in more than 110 countries, with a portfolio of 5,400 properties, 10,000 food and beverage venues, wellness facilities or flexible workspaces across 40 hotel brands from luxury to economy.
