Developers have submitted plans to convert a former 1960’s office block into a 152-room three-star hotel, according to the BBC.
A planning application has been submitted to Bath and North East Somerset Council to transform Beaver House on Lower Bristol Road after the property failed to garner interest after being marketed for two years.
The only remaining tenant of the building is set to vacate the building at the end of the month and commercial agents have deemed there is “no realistic prospect of finding a new office occupier”.
The plans also cite the erection of 123 sqm of restaurant and café space below the hotel.
The BBC cited that work could start in June if planning permission is granted with hope the hotel could be open by December 2025.
