Cameron House has announced the launch of a new restaurant, La Vista, at its five-star luxury resort on Loch Lomond.
Having officially opened this Monday (18 March), La Vista offers all-day dining alongside a deli and food shop.
Formerly The Boat House, the resort has invested £2m in transforming the lochside restaurant into a modern dining space with a 138-cover restaurant, informal mercato with a dining area for 50 guests and a private dining room for up to 24 people.
An al fresco terrace launching in the summer will provide an additional 120 covers.
Interiors by BJM Design include floor-to-ceiling windows, a marble topped bar, blue booths, café-style tables and a mix of pendant lighting.
Head chef Mark Pawsey’s menu focuses on authentic Italian cuisine and is divided into small aperitivo plates and cicchetti, larger signature mains such as Chicken Milanese Spaghetti Napoletana, handmade pastas, and wood-fired pizzas.
There will also be a list of cocktails and spritz, including a dedicated negroni menu and an extensive wine list.
The mercato offers an array of artisanal Italian produce, including olive oils, pesto, rice, wines and cured meats and cheeses.
Michael Lavizani, resort director at Cameron House, said: “We are delighted to unveil our newest dining experience, La Vista, at Cameron House. Reflecting on the rich history of the estate, the restaurant takes inspiration from the breathtaking vistas of Loch Lomond and the adventures of Tobias Smollet, the renowned Scottish author whose family once owned Cameron House hotel.
“La Vista celebrates the vibrant culinary heritage of Italy, curated by our skilled chef and management team. Open daily to both guests and locals, we look forward to bringing a touch of la dolce vita to the resort.”
