Bespoke Hotels shares new Hotel Gotham Newcastle updates

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Bespoke Hotels has revealed new details about the upcoming opening of its Hotel Gotham Newcastle, set to open Autumn this year.

One half of the hotel will be called The Old Fire Station and will feature 60 bedrooms.

Guests can also enjoy the restaurant and bar, complete with a DJ booth.

The Police Station side of the hotel will open in late 2025, offering 30 bedrooms and an event space in the historic Court Rooms, accommodating gatherings of up to 120 guests.

It comes after the company announced that it will continue its relationship with Hotel Gotham Manchester following the hotel’s purchase by Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland.

Thomas Greenall, Bespoke Hotels CEO, said: “We’re leaving Hotel Gotham Manchester in the capable hands of the Fattal Hotel Group. But – even as the likes of Manchester legends such as David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, and others have found – there comes a time when the big stars want to spread their wings, take on a new challenge, and test the adage that travel broadens the mind.

“We remain custodians of the Gotham brand, and are dedicated to its vision and reputation, putting all our efforts behind the two new locations – Hotel Gotham Newcastle and Hotel Gotham Bristol – building on our successes by exploring new opportunities that heighten our brand and bring new experiences for our guests.”
