Murrayshall Country Estate, the historic hotel, estate, and golf course located in the heart of Perthshire, is set to launch 22 Armadilla pod-style cabins in April 2025, in a move that will double its capacity.
The development comes as part of Murrayshall’s £30m master plan set to reshape the estate’s future, unlocking a potential investment of £169m across Perth and Kinross, and the creation of 400 job opportunities.
Designed and engineered by Scottish firm Armadilla, the new pods will offer an eco-friendly sanctuary for guests seeking a countryside retreat.
Increasing Murrayshall’s accommodation capacity by 50%, these pods will cater to a diverse range of guests – offering one-bedroom units and larger two-bedroom units. A few select pods will also offer super-king-sized beds, fully fitted kitchens and a private jacuzzi.
The pods will be available for booking from April 2025.
Murrayshall Country Estate features 40 bedrooms, two restaurants – Eolas Restaurant, recognised with two Red Rosettes, and Cairns Restaurant, along with two parkland golf courses, a dedicated adventure pursuits pavilion and luxurious spa facilities.
Gary Silcock, general manager at Murrayshall Country Estate, said: “We are thrilled to introduce our luxury pod cabins to Murrayshall, marking the start of a new chapter in our journey to becoming a premier full-service resort.
“This news follows the recent addition of our brand-new adventure pursuits pavilion, featuring activities such as quad biking trails, archery and axe throwing, showcasing our dedication to offering guests an exceptional stay that seamlessly blends luxury with adventure.”
