The Thyme, a collection of restored 17th Century farm buildings, houses and cottages located on Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire border, has appointed Anthony Cox as GM.
Cox joins Thyme following his roles at Danesfield House Marlow and Spa Illuminata in London’s Mayfair and will commence his role on 7 January 2019. The group said he was selected for his “wealth of experience” after two decades in the hospitality industry and his “extensive knowledge and experience of luxury brands”.
The enclosed collection of buildings form a “village within a village” comprising of 31 bedrooms, a spa and restaurants.
Commenting on his appointment, Cox said: “Thyme has very clearly been a labour of love over the last 15 years with the Hibbert’s working with the historic buildings and the farm that surrounds them to create a thoughtful place with love and attention lavished on every detail.
“I am very excited to be joining the team and working alongside Caryn Hibbert to help take the business onto its next stage. I hope to continue to provide guests at Thyme with a home away from home experience.”
Caryn Hibbert, founder and creative director of Thyme added: “We have huge admiration for Anthony Cox’s wealth of experience not only in hospitality but also in luxury brands. He brings with him not only experience but energy and ideas and I look forward to working with him.”
