The Tunbridge Wells Hotel, the boutique hotel, bar and restaurant in Royal Tunbridge Wells, has been put up for sale for £2.69m following 13 years under the same ownership.
The hotel features a relaxed bar and restaurant with capacity for approximately 80 covers, a function room
with capacity for 50 seated guests and 20 en suite letting rooms including a large honeymoon suite. There is a large external seating area, subject to a pavement licence, for circa 90 covers, in prime position directly opposite the bandstand.
The sale follows the owner’s decision to retire. The Grade II listed Georgian property occupies a prime position in the Pantiles, the historic spa town’s best-known leisure and cultural quarter.
It sits among high-end shops, galleries and bars and plays a central role in the area’s café culture, as well as its regular markets, festivals and live events.
Simon Bland, senior associate at leisure property agency Fleurets, said: “The Tunbridge Wells Hotel is a pillar of the vibrant and upmarket leisure destination the Pantiles is widely renowned as. In our opinion it will appeal to more food-focused operators as well as potential buyers whose format is based mainly on accommodation sales.”
