Originally a 12th-century priory and later the country home of Sir Christopher Wren, it has a rich and complex heritage. Since becoming a hotel in 2001, Wroxall Abbey has faced multiple operational challenges, including several ownership changes and periods of closure. Most recently acquired by ONS International in 2023, a £1m refurbishment was announced, but the hotel closed again in early 2025 following a lease dispute.
