In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Hilton Hotels and Whitbread’s Premier Inn have been named winners at the Marine Stewardship Council’s (MSC) annual awards.

The MSC awards celebrate the people and companies in foodservice and retail that are supporting certified sustainable seafood and offering a growing choice of MSC seafood across the UK.

Whitbread took the MSC UK Newcomer of the Year after becoming the world’s largest hotel chain to be MSC certified in April. Hilton Hotels won with MSC UK Menu of the Year for a sustainable fish and seafood campaign run across its 53 MSC certified hotels.

James Pitcher, director of sustainability at Whitbread, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised as MSC’s Newcomer of the Year. Our customers expect us to do the right thing, so we are immensely proud to have achieved MSC certification for all our Premier Inn restaurants.”

Dominique Piquemal, vice president, luxury operations and food and beverage strategy EMEA, Hilton said: “Hilton is committed to sourcing sustainable seafood through ambitious global goals and here in the UK we are making excellent progress with more than 50 of our hotels being MSC-certified.”
