The lodge on Loch Lomond hotel in Scotland has undergone extensive renovations to upgrade and enhance its facilities.

As part of a £6m refinance package the hotel group has invested more than £1m in upgrading its guest rooms, suites and restaurant facilities.

The hotel has served many visitors influential guests, including former US presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.

Family owned since opening in 1992 the Lodge is currently operated by Niall Colquhoun, and wife Ann. The family also owns and operates the Inn on Loch Lomond, three miles north of Luss, employing 128 staff in total.

The renovation has been supported by the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Colquhoun said: “We constantly look at ways we can make the experience at the Lodge as special as possible. Following our refurbishment, we now have a brand new bar and kitchen, we’ve renovated all 20 balconies in our suites and our guest rooms have also been upgraded. Royal Bank of Scotland has been instrumental in supporting our ambitions for the business.”

Stuart Hamilton, relationship director at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “The ambition and vision of the family has been key to the Lodge on Loch Lomond’s success over the years and the latest upgrades will ensure it remains a premier destination venue.”
