Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club, East Sussex, has won the award for ‘Developing People for Business Success’.
The hotel group won the award for demonstrating commitment to supporting and growing individuals’ skills, and delivering successful training and development initiatives to underpin business objectives.
Julie Kapsalis, judge of the Gatwick Diamond Business awards, said “Training is at the heart and core of Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club. They offer a career path for their staff that spans every department and skill set.
“The group managing director himself embodies this passion – joining the company 30 years ago as a head waiter and moving up the ladder and learning across every department.”
Ben Booker, general manager at Ashdown Park Hotel, said: “I am delighted that the hard work and commitment from the Personnel and Development team at Ashdown Park has been recognised.
“It is our people who offer such great hospitality that makes our hotel the success it is today, which underlines the value of developing and supporting individuals whilst encouraging them to achieve their full potential.”
