Radisson Red has hired key staff members for the launch its first UK Red hotel.
The hotel group has appointed James McCormick as lead engineer. He will support the team by maintaining the building, making sure everything is in working order for visitors to the hotel.
McCormick said: “Radisson RED is set to bring exciting innovation to Glasgow which I can’t wait to be a part of. I’m looking forward to working somewhere that’s a little different from the traditional hotel experience.”
He added: “Working in a new location with new people and new challenges really appeals to me and I’m hoping to bring my fun-loving persona to the team.”
Susan Brown will lead the revenue team and look after reservations, taking enquiries for bedrooms, groups and meeting spaces in her role as ‘lead Redgen creative’. Brown brings knowledge from her time as reservations supervisor at Radisson Blu.
Stephen Pohler has been appointed as ‘lead kitchen’. He joins Red from the Hilton Garden Inn hotel, and brings a wealth of experience in the kitchen.
Pholer said: “The concept and challenge of being a brand new, vibrant hotel experience within Glasgow really excites me, so to have this opportunity to provide unique services to our guests and to this city is brilliant.
“I think that Red has brought an idea to Glasgow that matches its people: friendly, vibrant, fun, arty and fashionable.”
