Bolton’s Last Drop Hotel unveils £3m transformation

The Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa, in Bolton, has been transformed following an extensive £3m refurbishment and improvement project by The Emerson Group, which acquired the property in December 2015.

The 131-bedroomed hotel which is overseen Colliers International’s Hospitality Asset Management division has seen a complete refurbishment of its bedrooms and reception area with a new raised decking area created for a courtyard bar.

Allan Davidson, director, hospitality asset management at Colliers International, said: “The investment that The Emerson Group has put into this hotel should impact their long-term commitment to making the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa one of the premier hotels in the region which offers excellent value for its customers.”

Gerry Mcgee, general manager added: “From your arrival at the hotel, you will see the improvements that have been made, surrounded by stunning landscaped gardens. As you make your way up the tree lined driveway, the new grand entrance is the focal point for your arrival with a dedicated accessible entrance.

“The hotel will be more appealing with updated facilities for all guests including a restored extensive banqueting and conference suit to suit all business requirements. The Village Spa has also seen new developments with the addition of new gym equipment and upgraded changing rooms.”
