Budget hotel group Sleeperz Hotels has appointed Manny Baber as general manager of its soon-to-open 120-bedroom Railway Hotel in Dundee, Scotland.
Aimie Beasley has been appointed as sales manager, and will be responsible for developing the hotel’s profile with Dundee’s business community and attracting bookings for meetings, conferences and business travel.
Barber, originally from Glasgow, has 20 years’ experience in hospitality, including over 10 years spent in senior roles with Hilton Hotels in the UK.
Commenting on his appointment Baber said: “As a proud Scot, this is an absolute dream move for me. Dundee is undergoing a remarkable transformation. Massive inward investment is set to drive the city’s commercial, tourism and cultural sectors forward and redefine Dundee as one of Scotland’s must-visit destinations.”
Beasley has sales, marketing and events experience and has been working in the full service sector as a sales and events manager with DoubleTree by Hilton. She said: “This is a great opportunity to further my career with a progressive and exciting hotel brand. Sleeperz Hotel Dundee enjoys an unrivalled location at the gateway to the city and will service both the leisure and business traveller.”
