Hilton London Heathrow Airport launches three new dining concepts

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Hilton London Heathrow Airport has launched three new dining concepts for its guests, following a £3m investment

The new offerings, OXBO Café, OXBO Kitchen and OXBO bar will each have its own “distinctive food offering”, with a range of dishes suitable for both vegans and vegetarians.

OXBO Café will offer both dine in and take away options in an informal setting for casual gatherings, a place to work or the opportunity for visitors to “grab and go”.The menu will offer dishes such as pastries, salads, tray bakes and breakfast goods.

OXBO Kitchen will feature a buffet breakfast, followed by an a la carte menu during the day, including a “feasting” menu which will allow people to share a variety of dishes.

Finally, OXBO Bar will offer people drinks and casual dining options. Open throughout the day, OXBO bar will offer a range of unique signature drinks and cocktails.

The dining concepts were inspired by nature and “agricultural heritage” with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. The dining spaces have been designed to take into account the “unique position” of the hotel and to recreate “the kind of view that guests are likely to see when they are coming into land.”

Oliver Stockland, general manager at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport, said:  “The OXBO concept really does cater to everyone’s tastes and has something for every occasion.”

“It can be a friendly get together, a pre-travel breakfast, a business meeting or a family gathering – there is so much choice.

He added: “The new OXBO experience not only fits with the new look we have given the hotel, but also incorporates elements we know are important to today’s guests and visitors – like locally sourced ingredients and a nod to nature and our planet.”

The hotel has now reopened for essential workers and business travellers, with the new OXBO experience dining outlets open beginning May 17.
