Hilton has announced it is to recruit over people ahead of its new flagship hotel opening in Woking.
Due to open its doors towards the end of 2021, Hilton Woking is set to top off the £740m transformation of the town centre.
In preparation for its opening, the hotel said it is creating over 100 new jobs, with roles including a mixologist, breakfast chef and night manager, along with opportunities to train in various apprenticeships, from a front office apprentice to a line chef apprentice.
The new-build hotel is the latest addition to the growing Hilton portfolio, offering 189 bedrooms and the largest hotel ballroom in Surrey.
It is also the first new build managed Hilton hotel in the UK for several years and is part of the new development measuring over 100 metres above ground level.
As well as world class hotel facilities, guests and visitors will be able enjoy the 22nd floor Loft Sky Bar, and the Oxbo Kitchen with all-day dining options and the Glow Lounge and Terrace.
Nicolaas Houwert, general manager, said: “I am very excited to be part of this new project and am looking forward to bringing the first newly-built Hilton hotel in the country for a number of years, to Woking. Hilton recently ranked as #1 on the UK’s Best Workplaces list and #3 on the UK’s Best Workplaces For Women list by Great Place to Work, which is a testament to Hilton’s exceptional workplace culture.
“Hilton has fantastic career prospects and we encourage those with a passion for hospitality to meet us at any of our recruitment events to find out more about the roles available and hopefully join our team.”
