Brightstar Hospitality has announced that it has acquired The Villare Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon for an undisclosed sum.
Formerly called The Grosvenor, the hotel will undergo a renovation program in which it will be rebranded back to its original name.
This 76-bedroom property takes the group’s portfolio to 13 hotels. Located in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, the hotel is just a short walk away from the High Street and historic attractions like Shakespeare’s birthplace and the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre.
Clive Nicholls, chairman of Brightstar Hospitality, said: “We have had this hotel in our sights for a considerable time and are looking forward to welcoming guests from all over the world to showcase the best of hospitality in Stratford-upon-Avon.
“Our intention is to upgrade the hotel, bring back its original name and take it back to its glory days.”
Nikhil Gupta, CEO of Brightstar Hospitality, added: “The Villare Hotel is an extraordinary hotel. We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming this hotel into our collection. Its location in such a popular part of the UK makes it perfect for all travellers.’’
