London Hilton on Park Lane has announced the renovation of its first floor to include: Grand Ballroom; Wellington Ballroom and Harvest Suite; the Executive Lounge; and the communal areas that connect these spaces.
According to the hotel group, it was first opened by Conrad Hilton himself in 1963 and was the “largest hotel in Europe”. It revealed works on the “new-look” first floor will commence in January 2022, and its subsequent completion in April 2022 will be celebrated with a “very special” event in the famous Grand Ballroom.
It added the design will inject “fresh, contemporary glamour”, offering a combination of walnut, bronze and travertine tones to bring layers of “luxury and finesse”.
The hotel said that bespoke lighting features and bold carpet designs will create a “strong new signature” that captures the “original spirit” of the Hotel.
Michael Shepherd, general manager, said: “Although we can look back on the amazing wealth of history, we stand ever tall but never still. We look forward to creating more innovative, show-stopping events and conferences at the new-look first floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane for many years to come.”
