YHA Liverpool Central and YHA Newcastle Central have been brought to market at offers in excess of £6.3m on behalf of YHA.
Together, the two hostels total 480 bed spaces across 98 bedrooms. YHA Liverpool Central comprises 46 rooms, while YHA Newcastle Central offers 52 rooms.
Both sites provide food and beverage facilities and are in close proximity to “key” visitor attractions.
Savills, who is overseeing the deals, said the two hostels are “unencumbered” by brand and management, and therefore offer the potential for rebranding and repositioning, both of which are available as a portfolio or individually.
Tom Cunningham, hotels director at Savills, said: “This portfolio provides an excellent opportunity to acquire two established city centre hostels, with the exciting possibility to rebrand the sites into existing or new platforms.
“Both the Liverpool and Newcastle hotel markets have benefitted from strong leisure demand since the reopening of the sector last year and these two sites have great potential to capitalise on that.”
