Leonardo Hotels has announced the opening of its first hotel in Manchester, the Leonardo Hotel Manchester Piccadilly.
The hotel will be housed in what is known as the ‘Jenga’ building due to its “distinctive” exterior tower blocks, which earned it a design award from the Manchester Society of Architects.
Meanwhile, the interior of the site is described as “elegantly pared-back and modern, with muted tones and clever design features throughout”. It features 275 en-suite bedrooms, all appointed with Leonardo Hotels’ signature DREAM bed, TVs, and well-lit desks.
The hotel will offer dining at its on-site bar and restaurant, Leo’s, which will serve food and drinks throughout the day for dine-in, takeaway and room service, including a hot buffet breakfast.
It will also feature a new wellness suite that will offer a space for yoga and meditation. Personalised guided yoga sessions will also be offered through the room’s smart TVs.
Jason Carruthers, managing director for Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be opening our first Leonardo Hotel in Manchester. The unique design of the hotel has seen a lot of interest in it before opening its doors which is wonderful, and we can’t wait to be able to welcome people inside and continue the conversation.”
The hotel is located in the new Piccadilly East neighbourhood, near Ancoats and the Northern Quarter and close to the city centre with excellent transport links. Piccadilly Station is just 0.5 miles from the hotel, while Manchester Airport is under 30 minutes away.
