The Fortingall Hotel in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, has been brought to market off a guide price of £1m.
The Fortingall Hotel is a Arts and Crafts style hotel in the heart of rural Perthshire near to Loch Tay. The village of Fortingall is at the head of Glen Lyon, one of Scotland’s longest Glens.
Nearby towns include Aberfeldy, Kenmore and Pitlochry, which gives Fortingall an “excellent position, and accessibility”, for tourists, sportspeople and visitors to use as a base.
The hotel is a “well-presented” historic Scotland Grade B-listed property providing accommodation of 11 letting bedrooms, dining room, lounge, library, private dining/function room, atmospheric local’s bar, staff cottage, private flat and sizeable garden area.
The Fortingall Hotel is being sold by Robbie and Mags Cairns, who previously owned a hotel business on Skye, and have now taken over another business interest on the Moray Coast.
Alistair Letham, a Hotel Consultant with Graham and Sibbald, who is handling the sale, said: “The Fortingall Hotel is a beautiful and unspoilt location which itself is steeped in history. The hotel has much to offer the leisure visitor and locals alike. Whilst an already established business, the hotel has excellent potential for growth, particularly for resident owners.”
