The Malvern, a luxury four-star hotel spa based in Malvern, has announced the promotion of Amy Downton to general manager.
Downton moved through the ranks of The Malvern Spa, going from a spa therapist to spa manager to assistant general manager four years ago and finally, to her current position as general manager.
It comes as The Malvern has recently become a finalist for the ‘Best Health Club Spa’ award in the Good Spa Guide awards.
She said: “It was always my aspiration to become general manager at The Malvern and that ambition has grown over the years. I am extremely proud of this significant step in my career and I’m excited to take the business forward with Lynsey.
“We are very lucky to have such a fantastic team at The Malvern and I feel fortunate to lead a 90% female management team who have become not just colleagues but great friends over the years.”
